About this Event

Hello, all SFiO friends and colleagues. Following the success of ‘Fika the Crisis’during the COVID crisis we decided that the community spirit the Fika brings is worth preserving from the crisis.

Therefore we now run online Fikas on every third Sunday of the month.

Please do register as knowing the number attending helps us to plan the session. If you register you will receive a Zoom link reminder. The zoom link is here, copy it now and add to your calendar.

Fika is more than having a coffee. It is a Swedish social phenomenon, a reason to set aside a moment for quality time. Fika can happen at any time, morning or evening. Perfect for a global community! John Brooker, Annie Bordeleau and others will be your hosts to Fika with you online for 75 minutes. Join us for 5 minutes or an hour, whether you are SFiO contributors or not.

Come and Fika with us! This is an opportunity to be lighthearted, chat with friends from around the world and perhaps stimulate your minds. So please ‘bring’ coffee, cake, tea, biscuits or something alcoholic and savoury, chat with friends and meet new ones. Bring an instrument, we might have an impromptu cabaret!

As those who have attended will know, there is a varied mix of activities, including creative sessions, music and SF discussions, as well as getting to know each other. Through the magic of Zoom we set up breakout rooms so you can chat and create more intimately.

Our Fika is every third Sunday of the month at 1000 UK time, 1100 CET and evening in Australasia. It lasts for 60 minutes.

We do not video this event as much of it is in breakout rooms. Register for the next Fika via Eventbrite
